Navigating Success: Top Navigation Apps in Latin America Q4 2023

As the fourth quarter of 2023 comes to a close, Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the performance of the top five Navigation and Maps applications across Latin America. With a unified platform approach, we analyze the trends for both Android and iOS users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic started the quarter with downloads at 388K and finished strong with over 552K, indicating a steady upward trend. Weekly active users also saw a healthy increase from 11.9M to 12.7M during the quarter.

Google Maps maintained its popularity with a peak of 511K downloads in the first week of December, although there was a slight dip to around 354K towards the quarter's end. The app's active users remained robust, starting at 17.7M and reaching a high of 18.8M, before closing the quarter at 17.7M once again.

Google Earth, another product from Google LLC, experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 138K and descending to 101K by the end of Q4. Active users followed a similar pattern, with an initial count of 1.05M decreasing to around 945K.

GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation saw its download figures oscillate, hitting a high of 57K in late October, and then settling at 41K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users grew from 103K to 152K, showing a positive trend for the quarter.

Lastly, GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation by AppStar Studios showed modest revenue throughout the quarter, with the highest at $243 and ending with $60. Downloads had an upward trajectory, starting at 28K and peaking at 34K, while active users saw an increase from 90K to 94K by the quarter's end.
